Girl on a Bus Adventures was established in 2021 by Ceaux Chitty. Using the extra time on her hands during the pandemic to reflect on the things that truly bring her pleasure and ignite her Soul. Her love of travel, the volunteer work she does in New Orleans and her passion for creating amazing experiences for friends and family are a few of the things that inspired her to bring Girl on a Bus Adventures to life.

We believe life is meant to be a Grand Adventure and Girl on a Bus Adventures is excited for the opportunity to be a part of your travels by creating and inspiring your most magical moments!

How Ceaux got to Here…

For as long as I can remember I have loved creating experiences for people. It brings me great joy when they smile over the detail and attention that has gone into creating an experience just for them.

In 1993 I sold my car. It broke down (again) and I decided there were better things I could do with my money - like TRAVEL. Bye-bye Honda, hello Nashville, Calgary, Seattle, San Francisco and anywhere else I had the desire to go. From then on it was city buses at home and when I travel. And oh the stories I have collected from riding buses.

In 2006 I began volunteering my time to coordinate trips for people to volunteer in New Orleans, rebuilding houses after Hurricane Katrina. NOLA stole my heart before I even landed. I truly love showing off the city - the music, food, history and vibrant culture.

Then in 2015, thanks to a Christmas party in the lobby of my apartment building, I stumbled into a job in tourism, with the world class Rocky Mountaineer Train. This is how I officially began my Storytelling Career, but I have been telling stories my whole life. I began seeing Vancouver in a whole new light and have loved exploring the fascinating history of my city.

When the pandemic hit I lost my job at Rocky Mountaineer and I was devastated at first. No more creating life changing experiences or telling stories about the famous Lady in Red, the seemingly ridiculous Olympic Beavers or Jimi Hendrix and his Grandma. Then I began to realize that my time at Rocky Mountaineer was another part of my adventure, another chapter in my story…

Ding ding, next Stop…

I love Storytelling and the creative outlet that it is for me and I wasn’t going to give it up. A family friend once suggested that I would be a great Tour Guide. Then while I was contemplating employment during the beginning of the pandemic my sister suggested starting a virtual assistant business, utilizing my administrative skill set. I gave it some thought and then went a step further…

I combined my Storytelling Skills with my love of research and started designing my own walking tours and I’m super excited to share them with you virtually through the Girl on a Bus Adventures Facebook group (free to join and tip supported). Coming soon we will be offering a fabulous a 90 minutes in person walking tour of Vancouver.

The next progression was thinking about how much I love planning adventures and events. The pandemic has us all thinking about how we will never take travel for granted ever again. Our SOULS are weary, in need of a re-charge, an adventure and a little MAGIC! Girl on a Bus Adventures is a Travel Experience Concierge company and we can’t wait to find off the beaten path things, cool restaurants and unique cultural experiences - for your next adventure! Buy the plane ticket, book the hotel and Girl on a Bus Adventures will plan your magical and memorable itinerary!

My name is pronounced “Co” (like Tiffany and Co), short for Coreen. I spell it CEAUX because, well, it’s a New Orleans thing and it helps me feel connected to the city! I love New Orleans (for about 536 reasons). I also love Alligators (because they are FIERCE), Afternoon Tea (it makes me feel so elegant), mixing patterns (because life is meant to be LIVED), Breakfast at Tiffany’s (I’m just crazy about Tiffany’s) and Coffee. And also Batman….
